Okay, here's my reason for the question: Bowser has a spiky shell, a green head, arms, a bipedal stance, and breaths fire. No other koopa does that. So obviously he can't be a simple koopa. He also can't be a goomba, or any of the bitey flower things. Or that REALY annoying guy that sends the spiky things after you. So what is he? Is he his own race? In which case he's an endagered species, and Mario, Luigi, and Link are all violating federal laws...

Bowser (or King Koopa as we like to call him here) is a turtle that has mastered the art of black magic. I guess through his power he made himself more powerful (hence the spikes and fire breathing). If you use the hammer brothers as a link between King Koopa and a Koopa Troopa, it actually makes more sense as to how he is a turtle like the other koopas. Kind of like evolution and the king is at the top.

Ah, so it goes koopa to hamer bros to King Koopa. So where do the goombas come in? Food for the koopas?

Don't forget about Spiny, cross a Spiny and a Koopa and you'd probably end up with King Koopa. Now that I think about it, King Koopa is probably just a mix of all the turtle related enemies.

Goomba (or "Little Goomba" as the manual calls them, I wonder what "Big Goomba" is) is a mushroom who betrayed the Mushroom Kingdom.

So what does a regular Mushroom person look like?

Like Toad. Four limbs, humanoid (or more so than the Goomba) face, spotted mushroom cap instead of hair, walks upright, wears clothing.

They weren't forced. Maybe they were coerced. I'd buy that. I would believe that they were bought off, threatened, etc. But they weren't captured and dragged off like the princess was.

Which brings me to another point. What's with Bowser's obsession with princes in #50, #51, and #53? Maybe he has a hidden secret that's going to 'come out' soon?

If you read #50 again, bowser is saying that he wants to kidnap a prince, because they're easier to control.

I said nothing about BDSM, you asked why he wanted a prince, and suggested he was gay. I simply pointed out that in the comic he said something to the effect that all princesses are trouble and try to run away, and so he decided maybe he should kidnap a prince.

That is not what I said at all. I just wish that if people are going to try to tear down what I am saying, that they do it with creativity and counterpoints, not blatant attacks on me and my credibility.

And OF COURSE I am making stuff up. Wolfenhex and Charybdis are making stuff up by doing the comic. Your whole "Free the Goombas Now" and "FGN" things were made up. And if I may say so, they were pretty clever.

So why not keep making things up for the sake of fun? By using "You made that up" as a way of debating the point, you've deflated all the fun of it.
