Hey guys (mostly directed at Silver), Wolfenhex is only human. He has a life and lots of things to do other than comics, and it takes a lot longer to write a comic and come up with concepts than it does to read them, especially when your mind is in a different mode. So, give him a break...

Whoo-hoo! Someone actually sticks up for me. Strangely someone with the same name...

Anyway, telling me to update the comic, or how some lovely e-mails we get here at Link & Friends put it (I quote from an actual e-mail) "MORE COMICS U LAZY IJOITS!" isn't gonna get any updates. That just puts me in the mood to not care. I love doing this comic, but:

1) Things come up (I've had some computer problems recently, and I was sick, and now I'm stuck recoding some sites, bah!).

2) Ideas run short (yeah, we can throw them on world 1-4 and watch Link bitch at Toad like many keep asking for, but isn't that kind of jumping ahead of the comic? We're trying to make an actual story as if Link REALLY was going through every level).

3) Life happens (I do other things aside from this comic too -- although this comic IS on my priorities list, so you can imagine what other things I'm part of go through that aren't a priority).

Anyway, I won't bother stating the usual "free comic for you costs money for us" speech most sites do being most of you probably already heard it. We'll try to get a comic up within the next day or two (sorry for the lack of updates). And just to clear 1 thing up that seems to slip everyone's mind:

Charybdis does the comics too!

Well, making comics doesn't take too much time, expecially 8-bit ones.

I've done a 16-bit one, and I could make a couple a day if I felt like it.

Of course they aren't at my full ability, but speed does seem nice at times yes?

Anyways, I said nice work at the comics, and yes life can always be in the way.

Heck, there is two of ya!

Great work on the comics, I find them very very funny. (Yes, you earned two "verys" because I've almost fallen out of my chair laughing.

But if one of you is busy, then the other should be able to make a comic.

Heck, 8-bit Theater comes out with a comic every 3 days or so. There's only one of him...

But you guys probably have quite a bit more of a life right?

That's weird. I was gone for two weeks, too.

Lighten up! Wolfenhex and Charybdis don't have to live up to the standards of other web comics. They do what they can to put out a good comic as often as they are able. If some other web comic puts out more, kudos to them; but that doesn't make this comic or its authors any less good.

Of course, more frequent updates would be nice, but if they don't come, that's no reason to flame the authors on the forum.

Yes, you must give him time. Just saying that or doing anyhting makes you not really care.

Is he getting paid for it? no
Does he HAVE to make them? no
Does "crap" happen? Yes

I have made a web comic before. A 8bit one but still. After awhile ideas just run out. Stuff happens. Life is somewhat more important then a comic. I stopped after awhile due to running out of ideas, life and so forth.

So please just give him time.

I would rather have wolf be doing homework or something then to be sitting on the computer making comics for everyone and start to fail his classes.

In other words. Be patient.

They both did the same for me too. Nothing we did, it's very weird (especially because both of them are doing it).

This is the inherent weakness of AOL and IP pooling. It sucks big-time. I'd say, just vote anyway. I think that if it says you already voted, it might still be counting the vote. It's probably just a page bug.

My thought: They put the "Check for prior vote" code AFTER the "Count vote" code, instead of the correct way.

Bob and George updates daily, and the quality of their comics remains the same. The comics are hilarous too. Dave (BnG author) got to modify sprites mostly everyday. And he works on 16-bits sprites. I don't see why you guys can't do this. And computer problems doesn't prevents you of using ''paint''. Well I gotta go, so bye! I'll continue this later.

Actually Dave makes his comics before bed I believe (around midnight). He updates the site aroung that time too. And Rick doesn't update his comics regulary. It's irregulary (when he feels like it). If you wanna talk with him, try to find it on the chat (IRC) or on the forums (BnG ones).

Comics should be faster, and I don't care about what the authors says. A winning strip is a fast updated one, but quality should remain the same. The authors only got to increase their speed.

the people are much nicer here. the mods are much nicer here. The mods at Bob and George scare me sometimes, but I can see where they are comming from with all there rules.(It is a humongo forum)So I like this one better.

I know, I've had forums closed down and not a real reason why. It's like the same thing as Jay2K has had problems. So, make a page strictly for your own comic.

In all honesty i love these comics, but seriously there isnt much to them. Why am i waiting a week for one 6 piece comic. You need to pump these materpieces out faster i meani know they take all of 20 mins to create come on at least kick it into high gear. Keep up the good work, just keep it up quicker.

It definitely takes more then 20 minutes. Maybe that's why you consider them masterpieces.

We update when we're inspired, not when it's such-and-such day of the week. We're not going to just do every Mario joke everyone else has already done countless times. We try to do new and unique jokes, and even answer some questions many people have wondered about (like the peace sign flag).

I think they have done a great job at updating. I've been here for awhile just not posted and compaired to other fan comics they do great. If you look at things like Farmboy they have gone dead. A lot of other ones update about once every 2 months. It may not be Bob & George but compaired to a lot of others I say they do great at updating comics! :) :) :)
