Ok. Hex told me today that I have to find something to ramble on about in here. I don't want to ramble on about what's going on in my life, at least the personal side of it. So I'll ramble on about how I just quit roleplaying today. Keep in mind, this was not my idea. Hex told me to talk in here. He did! Really!! So here I am. It's his fault you're being subjected to this torture. Ok, so, where was I? Oh, yes. Quit roleplaying today. I've been roleplaying since I was, oh, 11 years old or so, starting with what I see now as hilariusly stupid roleplaying (Star Trek. Please, say nothing. I admit I was wrong. I have repented from STRPGs!!) Then I did a number of medieval and Star Wars ones. For the last year+ I've been running a Sim (Simulation for those of you who're not familiar with the term. Basically, it just means that the RPG is also simulating a made-up "reality", like, well, Star Wars, or Middleearth). Anyway, been doing this Star Wars Sim called Star Wars: The New Era. Created it, made a decent web site for it, been running it for a while. And now I'm quitting. If you want to know why, well... That story's for another time :-). Ok, I think I've rambled on long enough. Hex? This long enough?

Ok, Hex just told me that this is not long enough. So more rambling. What to ramble about... Ok. Here's something stupid, yet I can still ramble about it. My first roleplaying character. Ok, it was a stupid character. Almost as bad as they get (Ok, I've seen far worse, and by "seasoned" roleplayers, but that doesn't make the idiocy of mine any less pronounced). His name... Now, remember, I was only 11... was "Datason". That's right. Datason. As in, Data's Son (Star Trek sim, remember?). Yeah, bad, eh? And that's what he was, the proverbial son of Data, not genetically, of course. I thought, at the time, that it was a rather clever idea/name, too. Wow. I can't believe I thought that ever. Can you? Well... Yeah, it's pretty funny the things I came up with in my earlier roleplaying days. Gosh, I normally ramble, but rambling this hard under threat of.. Ok, I'm not under threat.. but still, being told to ramble... it makes it hard to ramble. Funny how this whole rambling thing got started.

See, I had a really bad cup of coffee this morning. I oversalted it. Now, for all you who're thinking I'm some kind of sick and derenged madman for salting my coffee... Maybe I am a madman, but I'm not sick and I'm not derenged, and salting my coffee isn't even a contributing factor to my madness, nor is it a sideeffect. In fact, salt will neutralize certain acids in coffee, so if your coffee is a bit too bitter, a pinch of salt will make it less bitter. Like sugar or something, but tends to be more effective without changing the flavor. But anyhow, that bad cup of coffee really got me in a not-so-happy mood. No, I wasn't in a bad mood. I just wasn't in a happy mood. It was more of a weird mood, actually. You know, your coffee doesnt taste right (not bitter enough! too much salt, very neutral flavor because it wasn't bitter enough), and that just kinda makes the rest of the day seem a bit odd. At least, it does until you have another cup of coffee. But by the time I had my second cup of cofee, I had already started a post in another forum off somewhere else about computer stuff. And I started rambling on and on. Somehow, coffee came up in the post. Well, I caught myself in the post and cleaned it up so I didn't ramble so much, before ever posting it. Asked Hex to make sure I didn't ramble too much in it. Then he told me to come here and ramble on and on to you guys. So, yeah. It's all HEX'S fault for making me talk about so little for so long to all you guys who have nothing better to do than to read this meaningless and pointless post. So yeah. Sorry for wasting your time and all, but if you had something very important to do elsewhere, you'd probably have left this post long ago and didn't waste all that time. So, yeah, anyway. Glad to entertain, bore, and keep you busy for so long. So long. You coulda been doing something more productive. But instead you read my thread. I feel so special.

Nice rant. I have been known to have a few rants as well, although I tend to use graphics, and usually have purpose of some sort, hehe. Keep up the great work!

P.S. Don't make me rant about the Koopas. If you get me started on that rant, it might never end. Besides, I've already beaten the Koopa topic to death on a number of other threads, and I would start to feel really bad if I did it here as well. After all, they're just hapless turtles that have come under the magical influences of a larger, uglier, and seemingly happier turtle-like thing, and they should thus be freed! Sake the Koopas!

P.P.S. Oh, I said I wasn't going to do that... Sorrt 'bout that. I'll try not to do that anymore. It's just so hard not to. *stops now before it's too late.. again*

Maybe Wolfenhex WANTS to have a personal speech monkey! I'm not saying he does, but don't judge him! After all, one never really knows what another wants. Similarly, one often doesn't really know what oneself really wants.

That said, I want pizza. And money. A lot of it. But then again, I don't really know what I want. Or do I?

Yes, Hex is short for Wolfenhex. Though a bit off from the normal method of shortening names, it suffices for myself as Hex is shorter to type than Wolfenhex. Sure, "Wolf" would be more traditional, being that traditionally you shorten with the beginning of the name, not the end. But since when have I stuck with tradition? Ok, so I do most of the time. That's beside the point.

Hex told me to ramble because he told me to ramble. Truly, can I be expected to know the inner workings of any man's mind? Well, maybe I can be expected to. But that doesn't mean I'm capable of delivering! Sheesh, you guys expect so much out of me. I mean, explaining why I use Hex isntead of Wolfenhex was ok, but expecting me to be a mind reader? I'm not, ok? OK???

A purpose? Rambling isn't truly rambling if it has purpose. It's then a speech.

Quite is a nice word, isn't it? Did you know that the word Quite means "1) To the greatest extent; completely."? So, I mean, does that make sense then? The topic is telling you that, in entirety, completely, or to the greatest extent, something related to Roleplaying is discussed in this thread. In this particular case, I rather completely delve into the details of my quitting Roleplaying. BTW, yes, this is just about the best cover I can think up for the typo. Gimme a break. It's late. Everyone knows that the last laugher is the slowest thinker. WRONG. The slowest thinker, in always having been the last person to laugh, has finally realize he should start laughing sooner (Being the slow thinker he is, it took him a while). Thus, he decided to start laughing earlier. However, being the slow thinker that he is, he can't quite get the timing right. Therefore, he is always the first to laigh. Thus, the first laugher doesn't even think before laughing.
