Battle levels aren't that good and the game likes to cheat.Fave duo:Toadette and Koopa.

I love the game but, Petey Piranna and King Boo can use any item. I have a Gamecube but not the game. Though I've played the full version in the store. And I personally love the Battle Mode.

Your talking bout the one where one person is the driver and the other person uses items and they can swithch (i think), right? Man, that looks great.. is it as good as MK64?

Mario & Luigi- Red Fireball Green Fireball
Yoshi & Birdo- Green egg leaves shells on the ground to run into Pink egg leaves mushrooms to boost you.
Wario & Waluigi- Bob-ombs (they explode duh!)
Donkey Kong & Diddy Kong- Massive Bananas
Toad & Todatte- Golden Mushrooms
Boswer & Baby Bowser- Masive richoseting Green shells.
Baby Mario & Baby Luigi- Chain Chomps
Koopa & Parakoopa- 3 Items at once.
Peach & Daisy- Heart protects you from attacks
Peety Pirahna & King Boo- Any of the above.

Peety Pirahna & King Boo and Toad & Toadatee
are hidden characters.

That's about it item wise.

They made Diddy a character? About time they put him in a Nintendo-Battle game(Kart, SmashBros, Party, Tennis Etc.). Koopa and Paratroopa would be my team if I ever play it. Have you seen the commercial with the luggage? It's funny.

I love this game! Not only does it have a very great (And uncheating!) computer AI, they take each character and do not use the "Rubber Band" style. (Popular in racing games)

What is this Rubber band style? It is simply a cheap way to program AI, of which can be done in seconds by a skilled programmer.

It is a was of making it so that the race is "Even" for players of all skill, and goes like this...

Pretend that there is a rubber band around your character, and around the rest of the computer players.. If you got too far, they'd boost ahead, and they slow down when you are far behind..

They have not done this on Double Dash, and the AIs seem different for each character, as one does not will everytime (As they did in older ones) and they aren't bunched together (You see this alot on racing games)

Another thing that makes this game great? LAN Support!!!!! Play 16 player Mario Kart! Dash and race your heart out! (Unbelievably fun)

And another thing... Got a broadband adapter? Connect it to your computer, download the software at www.warppipe.com, and play ONLINE!!!

Yes, you have heard me correctly...Mario Kart is online! However, this software IS unofficial, so this game technically is NOT an online game... You just.... Cheat it to be. (As done previously with the popular First Person Shooter game, Halo)


I give this game a 10/10, and have enjoyed every hour that I played it!


Oh yeah, the best character combo is Yoshi/Baby Mario, or Yoshi/Koopa.(Either)

What I like is that you can hook 4 gamecubes up and everyone have their own screen or you can share a cart with someone else to have 8 players and have your own screen. Or have 4 gamecubes 4 players each (16 people) and have a split screen on each T.V. yet still be playing with 15 other people! Oh and later in the game it does start to cheat once you unlock the Reverse Tracks. You will have hidden characters cheating everywere! I love this game!

Hmmm, they do cheat? Ah well...

Also! (A very cool thing) When you play co-operative mode (Co-operative mode is the mode where you have two people in a cart, and switch players to who is drive and who is throwing items, for example...

Mario and Luigi (Cool game) Team up, and share a cart... Mario is currently driving, and gets a double item thing. (They are the little boxes that you pick up to get items, but there are two of them, one on top of the other)

Now, Luigi gets an item (Let us assume it as a mushroom) And boosts them on a straightaway. (Where else?) Now, Mario still has his Koopa Shell, so Mario and Luigi switch kart positions. (Using the Y button I believe.)

Now, Mario is in the back, and Luigi is driving the kart. In single player, you don't need to do this, but it can be an essential move while playing co-op.

Now, has anybody else played? Because I would love to hear stratagies on what you people can think of on player combinations.

Well I like having two diffrent people so I have a varaity of items to choose from. Sometimes I have Birdo and Diddy.

I really like this game I'd give it a 10/10 too but they do cheat when you get the mirror levels so I give it a 9.(It's just as good as a 10 only worse,eh Shadic?)

Paratroopa + Mario + Mario's Kart = Pretty good team!

It got a good turning, good aceleration, good max speed. But... they're weak when it comes to knock stronger karts. 1 thing I hate in this game, it's when you're near a hole, a computer knocks you in the pit. It's very annoying to go 1st to 8th in 1 blow.

i like the mario cart games, on dd, ive gotten the secret cup, and now im trying to beat the 150cc, its hard even for the very first cup!

Mwa ha ha! I finally bought the game recently. I've already gotten Toad and Toadette and Luigi's Mansion for battle. I even have the special cup. I now like Yoshi and DK or Diddy (Whichever) Baby Mario and Parakoopa or of course Toad and Toadette!

All I need to do is beat 150 Special with a Gold (I've got a silver) to get Mirror Mode. After that I'll go in Mirror mode and earn All-Cup Tour. But I'll have to do ALL LEVELS IN ONE CUP! All cup tour is going to be hard...
