My Web Page!!!

Well, I finally got the time to start a web sight!! Its under construction. (In other words, I'm fooling around with my web builder trying to figure out how the heck to use it!!)
The web sight is based on art and pomes and comics (of course!) :) So if any of you have anything to submit to it, please feel free to e mail it to me!!

Sorry, but the first thing you need to fix is... The fact that it is spelled "Site" when you use it in the term of "Web Site"

Had to say that first, as that was bugging me!

Second, do not expect your site to grow quickly! It takes a long time for your site to become of elite quality, and for it to become popular!

Third, take site management seriously! Do not expect your site to mysteriously pick up members! Advertise! (Well, advertise through ways that will not anger those peoples site of which you advertise on!) Become affiliates! (Basically Link partners!) Look at sites, and figure out how they are made! Use this knowledge to make the final outcome of your site... PERFECT!

Also, do you have any theme for your site? Is it strictly artistic? Does it mainly revolve around a certain comic, character, or timeline? If you do, make sure that you stay to that, without much things from other sources!

Also! If you use anything from anywhere else, give credit! Your site can get completely deleted for copyright infringement if you're not careful!

Now, I'll look at your site soon, and you should be getting a submission or two from me in the future! :D

Anyways, I made that awhile ago... back when I wasn't that good with my art program. (Of which happens to be Photoshop 7.0 ;) )

Beh, looks better as it originally was on my computer... Yeah, back in a PDF file there wasn't any junky fuzz on it or anything...

Anyways, IM me at "Cubedoverthrice" if you want the original... But, unless you've got a really good image converter, It won't look any better while staying under a file size of 70KB...

If that size is too large, just lemme know, and I'll upload a slightly compressed version!!

Also, you don't even have to have this picture use bandwidth! Just take the image url (As seen by right-clicking, going to properties, then getting it) (If you have a mac, I have no clue >.<)

I'm going to be putting up a comic page and a pome page probably after winter break. So It'll probably be up after Jan 10 do to lack of equipment at my Grandparents house. (And the fact that I dont feel like draging my desktop home with me)

Shadic, I got a LOT of complements from friends about your art work, everyone loves it.(My brother espically)

Great job Moonbeam. But try finding some better host. Angelfire isin't very good. It's full of annoying pop-ups, banners and stuff you don't like. You should try to learn your HTML. At least the basics... Freewebs is good, but the free service is limited. Freewebs is almost addless, but you can only make 7 pages in all, and a limited number of paragraphs... Great job anyway... Maybe I can help you to make a site similar to Sakura's, if you like the idea.

I'm getting a little better at HTML formating.(Which building from knowing nothing isn't saying much :)) I have a really nice web-page builder. It has helped a lot. Along with a friend who is fluent in HTML. Also, I use to write basic formating on our old Mac. So that has helped some.

Right now I'm just using my site to desplay artwork, but later I would LOVE to make it look better! As I said, the only problem is time. Maybe this semester when my classes calm down? *wishes*

I agree, angel fire is a bit annoying, but I just ignore the pop ups now. My pop swater help with that too.;)

Perhaps I could play with the source code and make it addless, by changing the host and keeping all the same stuff on your site except the adds... I don't if it would work though...

First I was just informed that after only being up for a month or two, my site has already had over 100 people on it. Thank you everyone who put a link on there site to mine. It really helpes!!! I will have my own link page up soon.:):)

You can use my new avitar but it's pretty shity at the moment I need to improve on it. But the good thing is that I gave him a shoulder pad, and the blue hair. I also got a ton of avitars that I never even used on LAF I'll send them today if I can.

I remember this old art program I use to have that had an eye droper that you could take red paint and drip it under the words and it really looked like it was bleeding. I miss that art program. I've looked all over for it and never found it agian.(It got lost when my mom wiped our computor and forgot to save it)

BnG has got links to all sorts of sprites like Link, Mario, Samus, and Megaman. Also a ton of backgrounds!

Ok I'm working on my site again and well, through a freek acident (My computor hates me!!!) while I was in my e mail, my computor went haywire, thus deleating some of the sprites that were sent to me. I don't know how many were lost, but if you could resend me the last couple of sprites(except the ones you have sent me this week or so) I would greatly appreceate it. Thank you, and sorry for all the trouble. It sucks to live in the dorm with only 2 power outlets and extenson cords all over the place.

Thanks guys!:) Actually, my computor is almost new, (only about a year or two old) it's the fact that in this dorm(which is over 100 years old) we only have two power outlets so everything is connicted via power cord. Well, we get either power serges or power outages often, and that dose a number on my poor computor. (which is an emachine) So I was trying to get the avatars saved to my compy, when there was a surge, my computor quit on me, and I had to restart it. Well, it deleated ALL the files that I had for the avatars and the files on my e mail.:( I was just about to make a back up on a floppy too. Oh well.:)

I hope my website starts to pick up too, thanks.:) Since I haven't updated in a while, people have quit going to it. So now I'll have some more artwork to put up, (after I work on my scanner for a couple of hours:)) and some avatars.(My e mail did save 2 emails worth, thank goodness) Thanks again for all your help guys.:)

Moonbeam I'll e-mail some of my old Drék avatars when I get to school and I'll send some new ones also as soon as possible.

You now your dorm should be updated cause that's not fair people could be losing there school work which could lead to failing but using a back disk is a good idea. I don't cause I know my computer, like sometimes the screen shuts down so I smack it hard once to the tower lower left side and turns back on but right side turn it off.

I agree with you that you need a new computor.:) I know it is completly unfair that the dorm isn't updated(if you dont count that we have electricity and electrical outlets since there were none in the 1800). We once had a power outage in just my room and the room next to ours(it was the girls next door's falt because they are always running there music, christmas lights, and two or more hair implaments(dryers, curlers) in there room at the same time, and there are three girls livin there. So the power went out while I was wrighting an english paper that was due the next day. Needless to say, I lost the paper:'(. Oh well. Once I get an apartment, maybe the power suply will be better. I hope.:)

Hm... That's a great site! I wish I had something to teach, but I know nothing. Well, I guess you could incorperate my word (fwutdiwiniwinem) into a powm. You will just have to read my 'fwutdiwiniwinem' forum. And we also have to come up with a meaning for it yet.
