ya in all the link games but 2 for nes he does not unless he gets the feather but in 2 he have to jump all the time and i would think that link would get uses to jumping

Anyway: Maybe Link just hates to jump, everyone hates something. Maybe he just doesn't wanna do it, maybe he's just lazy!

Link is probably afraid of heights. That or he's scared that he would plummet to his death because of all that equipment he has to carry. Or maybe he's used to having more room to move around. In his world he could walk wherever he liked, but Mario's world is a side scrolling platformer and link just thinks he can go around the holes.

The time has come... Onward to victory!

We've got some good theories here, and it was good to just jump into the blue like that Mario Master, I kind of did that too(though I started in another Intro post...), I think he's scared to jump because Mario's watching him, and people screw up when people watch them try......................

But, Link got an edge that Mario doesn't have. Link loses 1/2 heart while Mario loses a life when falling in an endless pit.

Unless he has on a blue or red Mail Blue 1/4 Red 1/8 which you can't see until he's been hurt because it doesn't display that precise.

Maybe- because he's never been in mario's world- He is afraid it is unstable, and if he makes any wrong movements the world could collapse on itself.

thanks everyone for the great welcome. I'll be sending in my comic's i've made so far (25 so far- it's one big storyline).

Yeah I'll do some more Anti-Link comics soon, I would have Anti-Link turn out to be Link's Bane(Then die a horrible miserable death with lots of blood and graphics and then Talon comic out and say 'Toasty!') but he doesn't deserve to die in a comic. Shit, I brought him into a good topic, okay back on topic guys...I'm gonna go make a comic now...

Perhaps Link is affraid that Mario will do something like tripping him as he tries to jump. Mario is tricky like that, you see... He also has the motivation to do that because Link is so much better than him (In Link's mind, anyway.).

Perhaps Mario reads ''Psy for idiots'' to scare Link with the various tips in it.

He isn't really afraid to jump, he just gets annoyed of it because he has to do it each third second.
