There is so much stupid, pointless, annoying, bandwidth-wasting messages in our guest book that has nothing to do with the comic. I am trying to get everyone to stop, along with a small majority of members here. But, guess what: they don't give a crap. Do you agree with me?

*sighs* there isn't much WE can DO. Just try to shut them all up and hope for the best. I'm truly trying to help, but maybe you should say something different than 'Stop spamming PLEASE' in the name of Dustminion each time, Dusty.

Maybe you should think up a different name each time you say something in the Guest Book, just a simple one, and say 'Hey I'm new blah blah yadda yadda' and you guys shouldn't spam in here, it's not cool' or something like that.

call me nuts... but perhaps the best solution is to not make a big deal out of it. they may be doing it just to be silly and stupid, true, but they may stop when they realize that they do not have an audience and are just wasting their own time. by they i mean the spammers of coursers.
Is there a way to approve/delete guestbook submissions? i know geocities has that.. it might help remove the more abusive posts if something like that exists for here.

I've only signed the guest book once, and then I wasn't even on the forum. So I really don't pay attention to the spam.

I think if there was a warning on the top of the guest book about pointless, spammy posts(that they will be deleated) then maybe it will be a little bit better handled?

I think this is just one of those things where it is really hard to get people to stop doing. Espically if they arn't on the forum.

as they say, Dusty: If you poke a lizard with a stick and it keeps reacting, you just poke it more. But once the lizard stops moving, you eventually get bored of it and move onto something else.

I just took my first good look at the Guest book and ther is a lot of spam in it! Not to menchion a lot of butt's who can't post there opinion that they don't like this forum without insulting us. If I didn't like the BS that goes on in the guest book, I would delete it and/or ban their IP's. I find it funny and very amusing to read.
