This is a true story first of all. I was the victim and I wasn't that bad. I went out around 3 PM and had a few drinks and was very buzzed, I got home around 5PM in time for dinner. After that I was just about all right. Then around 8 PM I had 5 glass of Eaglehawk wine (quite good and cheap too), I then felt very dizzy so I had a few more glass of wine (my parents don't mind me drinking). When I figured out I was drunk I went up to my bed and fell asleep. I woke about every 30 minutes. The next morning I woke up at 5 PM and I had a spliting headack and terrible stomach pians. I have a hang over and this is why you shouldn't get wasted. So anyone else got some new years stories then want to tell.

Mmy cousins came over there were four of us then my other cousin came over and I being the only girl got kicked out and I spent the rest of my time on LaF and chatting.I have no real life.:(

Hell, I was drunk once or twice (all though I can't remember what the hell was going on or what I was doing the second time). and Drek you have the same name as my brother, Aaron. But, he's a prick.

Well being wasted is like being drunk but twice as bad, like I still have the god damned head pain and to answer your question I am 13 years old and probaly drink more then all of you. Which isn't something to be proud off. The wine get's you drunk really fast.
I also have to say that I have gotten drunk an un countable times so don't start drinking at my age cause it mess's you up and Talon can be my witness.

Drinking isin't bad. I drink 5% alcool beer once in a while. I don't get drunk!

I think I'm a bit advanced for my age. I drink, I like those cheeses that adult takes... I know how to speak french...

But they are also linked with eachother so drinking can lead to drunkness. I know that as I started this topic when I was drunk and I thought I was sober but I was wrong. Then I had head pians which still haven't gown away, probally cause I keep drinking.

I think the drinking age should be lowered to 18. You can smoke, but not drink.(I think smoking is a really bad habit and makes you stink literaly).

I think it's ok to drink if you do it responsibly and don't drink and drive(obviously) I've personaly never drink outside my house and never often. Its really hard for me to get drunk(I hold my liquor really well) and I don't really see any point in getting drunk cuz your just paying for it the next day(or week, considering how much you've had)

I know a lot of people who get waisted over the weekend and not very many get in trouble for being underage. I really dont know why...

Personally, I think Alcohol tastes icky, but that .1% stuff you usually see it with a fruity picture, of a peach or something. I like Peach alcohol, and would have as much of it as we have if we had any right now, Alcohol isn't bad for you, it's one of those abusive things. Drugs an' smoking don't need to be abused to be bad, Alcohol does need to be first.

Pot's as good as legal, cause you only get fined if you have 2.5 g's on you and the pot taken away no record or anything. 5 g's is a fine and record.

Wine's like a good food, you take sips of it and it burts with falvour in your mouth. Then you get drunk and can't taste really but want to keep drinking. Beers more of a man's drinl for a hockey game(F*ck Canada lost in the finals agianst USA) or football.

For the answer to your question Sakura, red wine is good for you because it thins your blood. So it reduces the risk of heart atacks and strokes. But if a person is already suffering from thin blood, then it is dangrious for them to dring red wine to often.

Beer is suposed to be good for you as well. I think it has something to do with your heart. I don't know the details on that.

Well I was drunk when I posted so I it's weird that I did that.

Drugs aren't bad if you use pot that's about it. Not to much pot unless you need to for medical use other wise just smoke it like 2 or 3 times a month thats what I do with my friend.

Only thing I've ever had is champagne(sp?) on New Years a year or two ago. Wasn't really anything amazing. While I am interested in the different tastes of wines, I can easily wait a few years(I'll be 19 in March).

Beer doesn't interest me in the least. It just seems disgusting.

I think the drinking age should just be kept as it is. If it's lowered to 18 now, then it's going to be even more common amoung people that age. It's not something where people do it because they're not suppose to; alcohol is something that a lot of people are going to have mass amounts of frequently. If it's legalized then, the drinking is going to be increased, and thus, more drunk driving. People around that age are simply careless about those things, and quite frankly, I don't want to be driving while even more drunk drivers are on the road. I don't want my life, or the life of anyone else taken away by some asshole who can't have a single bit of common sense.

Actually, I know a LOT of underage drinkers that started drinking at 16 and while your comment on drunk drivers are true, I have never had any problem with them, and never felt endangerd by them, espically the underage ones. There are more 40 to 60 year old drunk drivers where I am than 21 or under age drinkers.

I think it also has something to do with maturity level. I would never go out driving when i was drunk and yet there are plunty of 21+ year olds who would, so I personaly don't think (in most casses anyways) that its the age level, just the level of maturity. It just happens that SOME younger people have a much lesser amount of maturity, but not all.

Yes maturity has pretty much everything to do with it as there's a 50 year old guy was so drunk he just missed nailing a transport when I was in Hamliton!

I'm just saying that drinking would increase, as would the number of people getting drunk, and thus, the increase of drunk drivers.

I just hate reading stories where the drunk driver kills someone else in a crash, and still lives to walk away from it. It's just...disgusting.

Yea, I was in a car crash when I was younger (my mom was driving) and a drunk ramed into the back of us. He lived, but I still remember what his pasegeners looked like. He was driving a van with other people in it and his passegeners wernt wearing seat belts, so they went through the windsheild (need i say more?) Luckly my mom and I wernt hurt in our little compact car. (compact car + large van don't mix by the way) but there wasn't any back end after the accident (so to all the people who keep saying to put you kids in the back seat, think about that) It was like the guys 3rd DUI, and he only got 2 to 4 years in prison for it. THAT pisses me off.

So I really don't care if people drink, just please don't drink and drive. Thank you. :)

My mom got in a car crash once. She was going to macdonald's to get us food when she got hit in the side by this huge van. I was glad I wasn't there after she tried her hardest to get me to go.

I've never been in a real big car crash but I have been hit by cars many times. Usually by bingo people but the hits are mostly light and I only get pushed a few feet away. Onnce or twice I was slammed to the ground but thank god every time I still gave the people the finger.

It pisses me off when this happens not just to me but other people as the people have the right of way and your hit by a piece of metal over a ton in weight!

Jeff is a friend of Talon who knew him before he moved. He currently goes to the same school as I do. Crack is the thing you shouldn't take, along with all drugs but alcohol.

Well drugs are as bad as alcohol if not worse but using drugs and alcohol at the same time is deadly. I think all drugs but pot should be pushed on and anyone found with illegal drugs on them should be fined $100 for every 5 grams this way people will hopefully stop faster.Tobbaco should be made illegal as it kills more then drugs do.

I heard that in Canada some SAQ (I think) is doing a big sale each year and people are likely to buy hundreds of bottles of alcohol. I wonder if this is true?

If it is true, I doubt that most of them drink it all in a month. Some people buy a lot of alcohol when it goes on sale, espically the type thats usually expensive. Then they don't buy alcohol for the rest of the year. (Unless they have a big party) Then there are the people who drink and drink and drink and could probably drink all the stuff they buy in a month.

Yes but they would have to drink alot like that so that they had a restitance against the substance this way they wouldn't fall to alcohol posioning. I know this because I'm doing a speech on Alcohol Abuse.
