Dose anyone realize that around 2:30pm PST, the forum only showed posts and threads that were dated 27th of Nov and before? Whats up with that? Was it just my compy, or did this happen to anyone else. I know it happened to Coco because when I found this out, I was chating with her and she said it was on her compy too. Did this happen to anyone else?

P.S. The member list is also messed up. It says that Dusty has more post than Talon, and that I'm a cheep cheep. So its still doing the title thing like its suposed to.

yes I do unfortunaly. there is also a category with no name and a topic without one too. It scares me because the nameless topic is dated 1969.

Everything but the forum looks ok though. Comics all here, guest comics ok, even the guest book and Letters are all up to date. It just seems to be the forum thats messed up.

*just an afterthought, what is the "post patrol" aka Dusty going to do now that ALL the posts are dead? Acording to him, we shouldn't revive dead posts. So we will just have to make up all new posts?

Is this the work of Hex? Is he messing with our minds? Or is this a big mistake? Or, like Oscuro say's, is this the work of a hacker?

But to conclude this, I say this was the work of Wolfenhex himself, because he said he'd delete all our worthless and useless posts. But I DO think that the topics with no name was DEFINATELY not Wolfenhex's work. I agree with Oscuro on the hacker part. If Wolfenhex or Charybdis catch that hacker, I bet he/she would be banned forever. In my opinion, I believe it's Link's Bane, but since he's banned already, that rules him out.

personally I'm decently scared. I mean ALL of those topics? EVEN Wolfenhex's todo list? I mean WHY would he delete it not a week after it's creation? I just hope this is not a hacker. And on the first day of winter-een-mas too.

It goes by quality of posts, not quantity of posts, Moon. When Hex got tired of all the spammers, Wolfenhex switched the title system from quantity to quality. When I first saw that, I was a green paratroopa, and Talon was a red koopa troopa. And Sabin was a Lakitu, and TheHobbit was a Hammer Brother. Later, Hex messed with it again, and made us into a lower rank. Then today, this happens. I wish I knew what Sabin's AIM screen name is(yes, he uses AIM). I need to report this to him.

I know that, but he was using a formula between posts and words or something along those lines. He said he wasn't going to go in and do it by hand because he has a life and no time to do that.

I believe that Moonbeam is right... This can't have been planned or else it would've had a warning attached to it... I hope that Wolfenhex has back-ups of the forums somewhere, unless the back-ups have already been used... Then we're in trouble! That probably isn't the cast though because then there wouldn't be all the weird "No posts here, post immediately" junk... I hope this post actually appears...

(EDIT) It appears that my post actually did appear, therefore proving that only the posts were deleted and people who signed after November twenty seventh can indeed post. Lucky me! It also appears that none of the profiles were deleted or tampered with so I'm happy that only the posts were deleted, it could've been much, much worse...

Wolfenhex would've deleted the earlier posts, if he had deleted any posts, He also would've cleaned up the forums if he deleted any thing. This is probably the work of a hacker, or else Hex didn't pay his hosting fee and the hosts were feeling mean...

NOT RIGHT!! 20 or so of my posts are missing, and most of them were important ones that I put a lot of thought into, like where I'm telling Dusty that he should chill about the stupied reviving old topics, espically when someone has never seen it before. And telling Dusty that hes not a mod and should quit acting like it. (I took care of that later because naturally since all the old posts here, people posted on them, and the "post patrol" went nuts) and most of the new topics that were posted like Geek. Some of the threads are missing completly! I e mailed Hex about it just to let you know, but haven't gotten an answer back yet!

Hex, if you are reading this, could you please explain to us what happened??????? Please, please, please!!!!

Ok I got an e mail back from Hex and he explained what happened. I'll just copy and past it here for all to read. If anything was left out, Hex can fill in the gaps.

I do not know what caused it. From the looks of it, a pig piece of data has
gone missing from Nov 27th to present. This could be caused by an old
backup being restored, but being the forum is the only thing effected, I
doubt that's the cause. A hacker wouldn't do something this small if
someone did actually hack us. I think it was just a glitch in the forum
code. Not sure if my code caused it or if the server had a problem, or a
combination of both. I actually backed up the site yesterday, so restored
that and added any new posts to that datafile. I hope this never happens
again, although I would almost like it to in hopes that I can track down the
cause of it and don't have to worry about it. Anyway, hopefully things are
fine. Sorry for the problems

I got the EXACT same e-mail from Wolfenhex. Either way, I'm missing a few posts too, last night Wolfenhex said all of yesterday's posts would be deleted, however Sword Café II stayed...odd...

Well, Talon, in that email Moonbeam posted, Hex said that he was going to copy the new posts to that new data file. That's probably all there is to it.
