| Dustminion | Story Continuation Game | ||||||
| Well, since Shadic left LAF, I've decided to recreate the fabulous Story Continuation Game. Shadic also posted this at the first forum he's ever joined (and left it over a year ago and coming back after leaving here). I will put all what he said here: "Yay! This is a game that is fairly simple. I post off the start to a story, give 3 possible sentences that HAVE to be used to start off the next persons continuation of mine. Then, they post off 3 more continuations, then somebody goes and etc etc etc. Oh yes, NO ROLE PLAYING! It was a gloomy night. Shadic looked around, but saw nothing. He continued his mindless wander around, then heard a mysterious rustle in the bushes. Drawing his sword, he stood still as stone, with his sword in his left, and a dark blue shield in his right. Then, he heard a quickened footstep infront of him, but could not see anyshape in the fog that surrounded him. SLAM!!! Pounded from behind, from some unknown force. Shadic grunted, and was thrown a small distance in front, landing on his chain mail armor. Strugling to get up, while the energetic fiend danced around him. "Teehee hee!" It yelped, seeming injured from it's contact with Shadic. Quickly regaining his sword and shield, he advanced on the extremely quick person, with a grin hidden in the fog. "You aren't as quick as you used to be, Dusty," Shadic said, having fully regained his composure. "I even managed to snatch this!" He pulled out a small amulet, that was his friends most valuable possession. "Hey! Give that back!" Dustminion screeched, snatching at the closed gauntlet, and more importantly, what was hidden inside. "Here," Shadic said, tossing the amulet around the excited person's neck. END A: "Well, I just wanted to check up on you, I haven't seen you around much!" Said Dustminion. B: "Yeah yeah, you got me, but you forgot about him!" Dustmion said, pointing to the brush that originally caught Shadic's attention. C: "Just checking to see if you could still snatch somebody's valuables, no matter how suprised you are!" Giggled Dustminion. Choose one to continue your story off with, and please keep it in the same mood, I don't really think this should go off into a Matrix scene or something, and if it does, I will say to ignore that person's post." Well, since the original topic was deleted, the original continuations were deleted also. And we cannot remember. So we will change it a little. Yeah. | ||||||

| A: "Well, I just wanted to check up on you, I haven't seen you around much!" Said Dustminion. "You knew I was leaving." replied Shadic. "Everyone did. But now my travels are over." He looked down and let out a deep exhausted sigh. Dustminion, caught up in the excitement of reuniting with his lost comrade, barely noticed how much he aged; the deeper wrinkles around his face, his fingers bonier, and his eyes sunken in slightly. "At least your back!" cried Dustminion. "So where Have your travels taken you?" He was curious, for the engraved runes on the blade of Shadic's sword were a puzzle to him. Familiar, yet not of any world he knew. Shadic turned his face away from his old friend, unable to vocalize to him the lands he has seen. All those who betrayed him, and that he had to betray to save his own life. He looked into the Minion of Dust's eyes as tears leaked down the cracks in his cheeks. All he did was shake his head. "Shadic..? You alright there?" probed Dustminion. He put his hand on the old wanderer's shoulder and noticed something. "Hey, what's that?" He pointed to something glimmering out of Shadic's collar. He dropped his hand and placed it over his heart, fearing for the worste. Shadic reached into his shirt and pulled out what Dustminion feared: an exact duplicate of his own Amulet! "You want to know where I've been all this time. Alright, sit down and I'll tell you where I've been. But, I warn you, the tale is long as by no means noble no matter how you look at it. Are you ready?" "I beleive I am," said Dustminion with a steadfast nod. "Good." grunted Shadic, as his energetic confidant sat down on a large boulder. Shadic looked into the skies with dreaming eyes, inhaled, and rose his hands up towards the stars. ~end~ A: "Twas brillig and the slithy toves were gyle and gimble in the wabe.." B: As he did so, the rock beneath Dustminion's behind turned into a gel, solidifying and trapping half his body in it. C: "It all began," he said almost in a whisper. "When I first laid eyes on an elegantly carved sandalwood box, and, more importantly, what was inside..." | ||||||
